I also had one senior from the Class of 2012 come in (late) for her senior pictures and she used one of my Senior Ambassador Rep cards to get a discount!
She also brought her sister and both of their boyfriends and her younger brother for some of the photos. Did you know most photographers in the area charge more for extra people? I don’t!
I had one of my past wedding bride and groom bring in their newborn baby for his first photos. Daddy is a true American hero!
Several babies came in for their 3 month, 6 month or 9 month photos from my Baby My Baby portrait plan.
For the second year in a row, I took my Kurt’s Kustom Keepsakes green screen photo booth to Congregation B’nai Israel for their Purim Carnival, and everyone had a great time!
I also took the photo booth for the first time to the Sylvania Chamber of Commerce Showcase Sylvania Expo and got to meet a lot of new friends and see all of the cool businesses in Sylvania.
Most of my time for the month of March was spent photographing contestants for my 2nd Annual That’s Me! Portrait Contest benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio. This is a totally FREE photo contest where you can bring in your baby or child that is 12 years of age or younger for a FREE mini candid photo session. It is meant to showcase each child’s personality. Parents were encouraged to bring in their child’s favorite items like a toy, dance or sports outfit, costume, or dress up items. Our grand prize package included an overnight stay at the Ramada Toledo, a family fun pack from Splash Bay Indoor Water Park, tickets to the Toledo Mud Hens, and Imagination Station and a gift certificate to Spaghetti Warehouse. The contestants that placed 2nd through 5th received gift certificates to Kurt Nielsen Photography. Contest voting was done through my website. The parents were the one that picked the entry photo, but no special effects were allowed on the entry. Here are the baby contestants that came in during the month of March with their chosen pictures for the contest.
