Alex came to Kurt Nielsen Photography from the Class of 2013 at St. Francis de Sales High School in Toledo and is on the hockey team. I have photographed Alex and his family for years and even did his brother’s senior photos a couple years back. It’s always fun to watch my clients grow up and it’s an honor to be able to capture the milestones in their lives.
St. Francis is one of the local schools that require their seniors to go to a specific photographer for their yearbook photos. However, the common misconception is about the photos that are purchased. Just because you have to go to a photographer for the yearbook photo does not mean that you also have to purchase all of your senior photos from them. These photographers are contracted by the school and the school does tell all of their students to go to the designated photographer, but you can have your senior photos done by any photographer that you choose, as long as you use their contracted photographer for the yearbook photo. Many of these photographers pay the schools money to get the contracts, and in turn, have much higher pricing for senior photos. Be sure that you compare their pricing with mine before you decide who you go to.
For Alex’s senior photo session, we started out at Wildwood Metro Park, and then went back to my studio and got a lot of really great images.
Good luck Alex on your senior year of high school!
