One of the top reasons why receptions start late is because of the bride’s dress getting bustled. Depending on the dress, and the experience of whomever is helping the bride by bustling the dress, this can take anywhere between 15 minutes and a half hour. So the biggest tip I can give you is to make sure you leave room in your timeline to do this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Want to make it easy on your bridesmaids and help reduce the time it takes to bustle your dress? Ask the seamstress doing your alterations to color code the hooks or buttons or ribbons that bustle the dress. Since whoever will be helping you bustle your dress probably won’t be with you at your alteration fittings, this will make it easy for them to figure out. All they will have to do is match the colors together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
