I get it. Planning your wedding is overwhelming at best. There is so much to do and you have to make decisions that could completely change your dream wedding instead of creating it. Your wedding photography is one of the biggest decisions you will need to make and you should not take this lightly. After all, it is the ONLY thing that you will have left after all is said and done. The band or DJ won't keep playing and the caterer will not cook your food every day, although I know you wish they would. Your photos and your memories will be how you will replay your big day in your head over and over again for the rest of your lives.
On top of all of that, all of us photographers are saying the same things just to get you to notice us. Some of us have years of experience and some don't but some times even that doesn't make a difference. Our pricing is all over the place because there is no entity that regulates us and we charge what we want to charge to cover our overhead and cost of living. Our styles are also very different along with what is included in our packages.
So how can you tell if we are what we say we are? How do you make such a big decision and not regret it? Choosing your photographer is just as intimate and important as choosing your future spouse. Your photographer will be with you for the entire day. Your photographer will work with you before the wedding to make sure your timeline includes everything you want it to include. On your wedding day, your photographer will make sure all of your photos are taken and keep everything on track once everyone is dressed and ready to go. At your reception, your wedding photographer will work hand in hand with your DJ to keep the events moving along and will get everything captured. Your photographer will either be your best friend or worst enemy by the end of the night.
So let's keep this real. Yes, I have been around for a while. What that means is I have lots of experience and know how to keep the day on track yet fun. I have attended the Great Lakes Institute of Photography and trained with master photographers while there. I learned photography at the end of the days of film where you had to get the shot perfect with just the camera and lighting. Photoshop did not exist yet, and a second shooter was rare. I also started in chain-store portrait studios where we had to make sure every detail was perfect in order to make the sale. I have photographed over a thousand weddings and so I also know what works and what doesn't with wedding photography and can help you make your ideas come to life. I can give you helpful advice and suggestions to help make your day almost perfect. I work well with the DJs, Venues and Planners, and all of your other wedding pros. I can also tell you that something will go wrong. Most of the time it's just a little thing, but it will happen. However, no one will know this except for you so don't sweat it.
What does this all mean to you? This means that I will make sure your wedding day is captured in a way that will tell your love story as vividly as if it is still happening. The photos will be true color and timeless, with a few artistic and fun edits thrown in. I will make sure you have absolutely no worries about your wedding photography and you can truly enjoy your day. I will give you guidance on how to pose or not pose and just be natural. I will capture all of the candid moments you didn't realize were happening. But most of all, I will give you the peace of mind in knowing that you hired a true professional wedding photograher to capture your dream wedding.
