Please excuse our dust! Ok, there is no dust, but, I am rather far behind on my blogging. I recently switched web hosting providers and am currently in the process of incorporating my blogs directly into my website making it much easier for you to find the pictures and information that you need. This is a process that is taking much longer than expected. I am also updating some other aspects of my website and hopefully will be finished by the end of the month. It's Fall bridal planning season! If you or someone you know has recently become engaged, now is the perfect time to get a jump start on the other brides. Every year there are thousands of weddings in the Greater Toledo Area. Finding the perfect wedding photographer, venue, florist and other necessities can be made easy when everything you are looking for is in the same place, like a bridal show. This will be my first year of participating in the Sounds of Music DJs "I Do at the Zoo" fall bridal show. This bridal show is the largest Fall bridal show in the area with almost 100 vendors in attendance. I Do at the Zoo will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 3pm until 7pm. Have you noticed that the leaves are turning colors and already falling? Now is the time to schedule your outdoor portrait session to make sure you have those bright fall colors. According to the website for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, peak fall colors will be earlier this year than last. They are predicting that the colors will be best in early October! That is only a couple of weeks away. Now is the perfect time for fall engagement, children, families and high school senior photos! On Saturday, September 7, 2013 Kurt's Kustom Keepsakes will be part of American Cancer Society of Northwest Ohio/Toledo's annual Cattle Baron's Ball at Centennial Terrace in Sylvania, OH. This event is from 6:30pm until 11pm and will be honoring the "Faces of Cancer."

Guests of the Cattle Baron?s Ball enjoy a unique, upscale event complete with live entertainment by the country band Haywire, tex-mex cuisine, dancing, auctions and other special attractions including: Nevada-style casino gaming, One-of-a-kind live and silent auctions and the opportunity to pay tribute to those who have battled cancer.

Gliding Stars of Findlay is a non-profit agency that provides adaptive ice skating for people of all ages and who are challenged by physical, mental and emotional issues. The program uses specially made products specially designed to help them with ice skating.

On Monday, September 16, 2013, the Findlay Chapter of Gliding Stars will premiere their inspiring documentary celebrating their "Gliding Stars" and how the program has changed their lives. Kurt's Kustom Keepsakes green screen photo booth will be at Promedica Flower Hospital's "Bite for the Fight" on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 9 am-12 noon. This unique fundraiser features a one-mile walk through the ProMedica Flower Hospital campus with grazing stations and vendors along the way.

Registration fee is $25 per person, or $20 per person if you have a group of 8 or more. Children 10 and under are free but still need to be registered. Proceeds support the Hickman Cancer Center and its programs on the campus of Flower Hospital. We are honored for Kurt's Kustom Keepsakes green screen photo booth to be part of this wine tasting event hosted by Sal's Pals in their effort to help raise money to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. This event will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 7pm at the Carranor Hunt and Polo Club, 502 E. Second St., Perrysburg, OH. The suggested donation to attend is $50. Looking for the perfect baby shower gift or gift for the newborn? Kurt's Baby My Baby plan has everything you are looking for at an affordable price. This plan covers all of the portrait sessions for the new bundle of joy's first year of life. Kurt's Baby My Baby package includes sessions to be taken at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and their first birthday. At least one session must be a family photo session, but parents are encouraged to be in a few photos from each session. Plus, if you purchase the package before the baby arrives, the maternity session is FREE. A 10% discount is given for all purchases from each portrait session, and a CD slide show set to music is given for each session. Kurt loves social media. However, he is not on as often as he would like to be because of his busy schedule. If he is not photographing, he is editing or busy with other aspects of his business. Kurt loves when you comment or "like" his posts but may not respond right away or may not always see your posts and comments. Kurt tries to keep up with his messages but may not always give a prompt response. Because Kurt may not be able to respond immediately, Kurt does not schedule appointments via email or social media.
