Angie and Brandon’s Toledo Wedding by Kurt Nielsen Photography
Many brides to be ask me how many pictures do I take at a wedding. I don’t have a set number of shots that I take. The truth is, it just depends on when you want me to start, where you want to go and what your guests are doing at your reception. For this wedding, Angie and Brandon received almost 1200 photos on their slideshow. Here are a few of those images:
Angie and Brandon were married at Park Congregational Church United Church of Christ in Toledo on July 23, 2011. Our day started at the Wingate Hotel in Sylvania for some quick shots of the groom and his groomsmen getting ready to go to the church.
After the guys hopped on the Party Bus to head to the church, and the groom opened his gift from his bride to be, I headed to Ida, MI to get photos of the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready, and Angie opening her gift from Brandon.
Then it was off to the church for the wedding ceremony.
After the services, it was outside for a few quick photos of the balloon release.
Then it was back inside for some family and formal portraits.
When we finished at the church, it was off to Wallbridge Park for some more formal and fun wedding portraits.
Our final portrait destination was the Toledo Museum of Art.
Finally it was off to the reception at St. Clement Parish Hall in Toledo, which was continued the purple, orange and black color scheme and hinted at the friendly OSU-U of M rivalry between the newlyweds. (by the way, I have already taken almost 700 photos by this point)
The floor lighting, head table backdrop, centerpieces and wedding flowers were provided by Flowers and Occasions by Andrea.
DJ Leo III kept the party going and the crowd dancing and also kept all of the formalities like the couple’s first dance, bouquet and garter toss, etc., on time.
I also captured hundreds of candid photos at the reception.
We also took our Kurt’s Kustom Keepsakes green screen photo booth to the reception, and everyone had a great time with it!
There was a lot going on at the Wedding for Angie and Brandon, and there was a lot to photograph. 1200 photos may seem like a lot to some people, but the art of photographing a wedding day means that you don’t miss a thing; and I try not to miss anything.
Congratulations Angie and Brandon from Kurt Nielsen Photography! May you celebrate many wonderful years together!
