Welcome to Jon and Christine’s Wedding Blog. This is the story of their wedding day on June 16, 2012 told their way. Most of the images in this blog post were either requested by the bride and groom before the wedding or purchased by them and their families after the wedding. Many of these images were included in their wedding album, and with over 1200 photos to choose from, these are their picks.

Their day began at the Grand Plaza Hotel (formerly Crown Plaza) where everyone was getting ready, including the event staff, florist, and cake decorator.

The bride was in the hotel bridal suite getting ready with the rest of the ladies in the wedding party.

Many bride’s do “first look” photos with their soon to be husband. Christine did the first look photos with her dad.

The bridal suite had such a beautiful view, we took advantage of it for some pictures once everyone was ready.

Once everyone was ready, it was time to head to The Historic Church of Saint Patrick in Downtown Toledo for the wedding ceremony and photos of the groom and his groomsmen before the guests arrived.

Christine and Jon had a full catholic mass during their 5:00 pm wedding ceremony.

After the wedding ceremony, we were able to take formal family and bridal party photos at the church.

Then it was back to the Grand Plaza Hotel for the wedding reception. The bridal party stayed in the board room until their grand entrance.

The toasts were made and then dinner was served. The bride and groom were able to mingle with their guests during dinner.

After the dinner service, it was time for the cake cutting, the couple’s first dance, the father-daughter dance, the mother-son dance, and the bridal party dance.

DJ Doug Bermick from Professional Sounds kept the party going all night long.

At the end of the evening, the bride and groom sneaked up to the bridal suite for some fun and romantic nighttime photos since we were unable to go any where between the ceremony and reception because of the time.

Toledo Wedding Photographer | Abbey and Jake | Tamaron Country Club

Abbey and Jake were married on June 2, 2012 in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Tamaron Country Club in Toledo. This is the story of their wedding day.

Abbey, her bridesmaids and the mothers of the bride and groom had their hair and make-up done at a friend’s house the morning of the wedding.

While the bride was getting ready, the groom was enjoying a round of golf at the Country Club and the country club staff and the other wedding professionals were getting the main dining room ready for the reception.

After their round of golf, the groom and his groomsmen got into their tuxes and were ready to start taking their formal and a few less serious wedding portraits.

The wind picked up a little bit, or so that is the story everyone is sticking to!

The wedding cake was delivered and looked beautiful.

The bride arrived at the Country Club and finished getting dressed and then it was her turn for some photos with her bridesmaids.

Everyone was trying to get a glimpse of the bride, be sure to check out the guy driving the golf cart.

The guests began to arrive, the music began to play; it was time to start the wedding.

Everything was going great, then all of a sudden, they got a serious case of the giggles! But all worked out in the end.

The guests went inside Tamaron for the reception and were greeted by my Kurt’s Kustom Keepsakes green screen photo booth staff. They took pictures of all of the guests as they arrived with a custom background to commemorate Abbey and Jake’s wedding. They were then given a copy to take home as their wedding favor.

While the guests were having their photo taken and enjoying the cocktail hour inside, the family and the bridal party stayed outside to take the formal and fun photos.

Before Jake and Abbey knew it, it was time for their grand entrance, the bridal party toasts and dinner.

Then came the cake cutting and ensuing smash!

The happy couple showed off their new dancing skills during their first dance as man and wife.

The final formalities were the Father/Daughter Dance, Mother/Son Dance, and the tossin of the bouquet and garter.

The dancing continued in the mail dining room for the rest of the evening.

But the dance floor wasn’t the only place where the guests were having fun. Back in the entry way, my staff was still taking photo booth pics of all the guests for Abbey and Jake’s scrapbook. The guests had a great time dressing up and posing for the pictures, and they got to decorate the pages themselves.

Toledo Wedding Photographer | Amber and Rob | Maumee

Amber and Rob were married on May 19, 2012 in a beautiful (and short) late afternoon outdoor ceremony on the terrace at The Pinnacle in Maumee, OH. The reception was held in the elegant grand ball room inside The Pinnacle where the couple’s love for video games was evident throughout the night.

My day started in the afternoon with the bride and bridesmaids getting ready followed by the groom and his guys also getting ready.

The bride and groom wanted to do a few “No Look” photos before the ceremony, and it worked out perfectly because the bride wasn’t quite ready yet when it was time to do them.

While the bride and her bridesmaids were finishing getting ready, I took some photos of the details and then the formal photos of the groom with his groomsmen.

Then it was back inside to check on the bride and photograph her putting on her dress and photos of her wedding accessories.

It was time for the wedding to start so I headed outside and took some more photos along the way.

After the quick ceremony, it was time to do some formal family and bridal party photos while the guests enjoyed the cocktail hour inside.

We then went inside for the introductions, followed by the wedding toasts and dinner. Be sure to check out the special cake for the Bride’s Mom and Dad! Amber and Rob were married on their 40th Anniversary!

After the bride and groom finished their dinner and were waiting for their guests to finish theirs, the bride and groom mingled with their guests and went into their “game room” to relax and enjoy their favorite video games.

Then it was time for the rest of the “formal” activities: cutting of the cake, bride and groom’s first dance, the bride’s parents’ anniversary dance, the father daughter dance, mother son dance and the tossing of the garter and bouquet.

Finally it was time for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. I continued to take photographs inside and outside by the warm fire pit on the terrace, along with photos of the rings.
